Our Beliefs
The following twelve core beliefs form the foundation of our ministry. They reflect our faith, guide our mission, and shape everything we do as followers of Jesus Christ.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God—His complete and final revelation to humanity. It is the foundation of truth, fully trustworthy for faith, life, and godly living. As Scripture declares, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Prayer & Worship
We believe in the power of prayer and the privilege of bringing our requests before God in the name of Jesus Christ. Prayer is an expression of faith, intimacy, and dependence on God. We also embrace expressive and heartfelt worship—through singing, clapping, lifting of hands, and joyful praise—as a response to His goodness and glory. Every believer has the God-given authority to approach His throne with confidence, knowing He hears and answers (Matthew 7:7; Philippians 4:6; Hebrews 4:16; 1 John 5:14-15)
Miracles & Divine Intervention
We believe in the miraculous and supernatural power of God to intervene in the lives of His people. Through His Word and by faith in the name of Jesus, God continues to perform signs, wonders, and miracles, revealing His glory and demonstrating His love and sovereignty.
The Trinity
We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth; Jesus Christ, His only Son and our Savior; and the Holy Spirit, our Counselor and Comforter. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and united in essence, purpose, and glory.
Jesus Christ: We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice through His atoning death on the Cross, and rose again in victory over sin and death. Through Him alone, humanity is reconciled to God and set free from the power of sin.
The Holy Spirit: We believe in the active and ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit within the Church. He empowers believers through spiritual gifts, brings healing and restoration, and moves through acts such as the anointing of oil and the laying on of hands. The Holy Spirit equips the Body of Christ for service, edification, and victorious living.
Salvation
We believe that all humanity is born into sin and separated from God. Salvation is found through faith alone in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross. It is by His grace—not by our own efforts—that we are redeemed, forgiven, and brought into right relationship with God.
The Church
We believe in the universal Church—the Body of Christ—comprised of all believers who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. United by the Holy Spirit, the Church transcends denominational, cultural, and geographical boundaries, called to worship God, make disciples, and serve as His witness in the world.
Healing
We believe in the active ministry of the Holy Spirit in bringing healing to the body of Christ. According to Scripture, healing is administered through the anointing of oil by the elders and the laying on of hands, as acts of faith and obedience. We trust in God’s power to restore, renew, and bring wholeness—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Evangelism
We are called by the Lord to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people and nations. Evangelism is not just a calling for a few, but a sacred responsibility entrusted to every believer, as we share the life-changing message of salvation through Christ.
Stewardship
At Freewill, we embrace stewardship as a way of life. We believe that every individual is a steward—entrusted by God with time, talents, and resources to be used wisely and faithfully. Stewardship is not just a responsibility, but a joyful response to God’s grace and a reflection of our devotion to Him.
It’s about living intentionally, honoring God with all we have, and using our gifts to serve others and advance His Kingdom.
“Use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” — 1 Peter 4:10
Commitment to Israel
We affirm the everlasting covenant God made with the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, standing firmly on the promise of Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you.” As believers, we recognize our biblical responsibility to honor, support, and pray for Israel, trusting that God’s purposes for His chosen people remain faithful and true.
Personal Relationship with God
We believe that each believer is invited into a personal and intimate relationship with the Lord. As God’s children, Christians have direct and unhindered access to His presence, where they can seek His guidance, experience His love, and grow in faith.
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by full immersion, as an act of obedience to God’s Word and a public declaration of faith. It symbolizes the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection—representing the washing away of the old life and the beginning of a new life committed to following Him. (Romans 6:3–4 or Matthew 28:19)
